Los Angeles, California City of Stars and Entertaining Outdoor Activity.
November 07, 2017
Inevitably when you hear the name Los Angeles, you think of Hollywood, movie stars, freeways and Beverly Hills. While there is undoubtedly plenty to do indoors in Los Angeles, there is an equal amount to do outside in the California sun. Rent a bicycle and you have a galaxy of options open to you. One of the must do opportunities in Los Angeles is the Hollyridge Trail. This over one-mile loop takes you into the fabled Hollywood hills and in fact takes just above the iconic Hollywood sign itself. While you are on the trail you will see some of the most breathtaking views of Los Angles possible. Another similar experience is the Caballero Canyon Trail which winds three miles through canyon hills and gives you a feeling for what an unspoiled wilderness Los Angeles was before the turn of the 20th century. If you want to pedal around the city itself there is plenty to see. The Hollywood Walk of fame with its Brass Stars imbedded in the terrazzo sidewalk is an excellent place for biking and to encounter one of the sights unique to the town. Another unique place is Venice Beach, with its long sidewalk often seen used in television and movies, can be experienced in person from your bicycle.
Los Angles also has plenty of opportunities for fun in and on the water. Rent a kayak or paddle board and row just beyond the breakers to see the multi-million-dollar homes on Malibu Beach. While in the Pacific waters you may see dolphins, sharks, seals, sea turtles and massive whales. Venice Beach has more to offer than just a sidewalk and has ideal surfing conditions. Don’t drag your surfboard across the continent, rent a surfboard suited to the local waves when you arrive in Los Angles. Renting a jet-ski offers an opportunity to hop the same waves that are surfed on and can be fun for the whole family.
Los Angles is one of the best places to go for outdoor exercise and adventure.
